Jesus' Return- In the Morning?

I've been looking through a lot of church songs, and they all refer to the Second Coming as taking place in the morning, such as:

"I'll fly away IN THE MORNING" - "I'll Fly Away"

"The MORNING of the rapture" - "I want to stroll over Heaven with You"

"On the bright and cloudles MORNING when the dead in Christ shall rise, ...
And the MORNING breaks eternal, bright and Fair" - "When the Roll is called up
Yonder"

"There is NO NIGHT there" - "In the Land of Fadeless Day"

There are many more songs, too. My question is why it takes place in the morning. It is true, however, that early morning is the best time of day, and that may be where they are getting it from. But is there any biblical refrence to the rapture taking place in the morning? Of course, only part of the Earth can experience Morning at a time.

(I apologize for my randomness.)

As far as I know there's no biblical evidence as far as what time of day Jesus' second coming will take place. I know that scriptures say Jesus' second coming will be announced with the blast of a loud trumpet. According to Jewish religion the shofar was blown at 9 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon everyday. I figure this probably relates.

But I don't think any of those hymns are talking about His second coming being in the morning. I think it's a metaphor. Generally when we think of morning we think of rebirth, the start of something new, being refreshed, and that sort of thing. So the metaphor of morning is very powerful. When it says "there is no night there," I believe that hymn means that there won't be any trouble or strife. Light is a metaphor for God and for forces of good and with the morning comes light.

Also, in the New Testament when people are talking about the resurrection of people it says that they will, "wake up."

What time of day do most people awake?

This is another cool metaphor.

Some interesting comments about the "morning" of the Lord's return. No, there is no biblical evidence that it will take place in the morning. (And logic suggests that if it is morning for those on one side of the globe, it will be night on the other side!)

As other bloggers have noted, the term refers to a spiritual morning, a time of rebirth and renewal. Did you ever notice how the days of creation in Genesis move from evening to morning--whereas we would normally think of a day consisting of morning and evening? God is taking us toward a new eternal dawn.

It is fitting that the Lord Jesus is described as "the Sun of Righteousness" (Mal. 4:2); "the Dayspring [dawn] from on high" (Lk. 1:78); and He speaks of Himself as "the Bright and Morning Star" (Rev. 22:16). Christians look forward to the dawning of eternity at Christ's return.
